D&AD Annual på nett

Den årlige samlingen arbeider i D&AD Annual har nå funnet veien til internett. Det London-baserte designbyrået KentLyons har laget nettversjonen.

Alle kan se årets beste arbeider gratis i den første måneden nettstedet er åpent. Etter denne perioden blir materialet kun tilgjengelig for D&AD-medlemmer. Nedenfor, noen fine eksempler fra nettsiden.


Nominert i Poster Advertising: The Havaianas Campaign To generate buzz for the US launch of Havaianas flip-flops, building-sized murals were commissioned at multiple locations around New York City. Giant 3D rubber thongs and corresponding white outlines were then placed over them to, quite literally, capture the spirit of the colourful Brazilian brand. Also, promotional limited-edition Havaianas, based on the mural art, were distributed to dealers prior to the summer season.


Nominert i Graphic Design: Radford Wallis Moving Poster We needed to inform our clients, suppliers and friends about our relocation to a new studio, so we created an A2 poster with a photograph of stacked cardboard removal boxes in our empty studio. A careful look at the boxes reveals the words ‘We’ve moved’ created from the brown parcel tape that seals them.


Nominert i Graphic Design: The National Gallery Grand Tour The problem: How do you inspire a modern audience to visit the National Gallery? The solution: Take the paintings to the public. After a year and a half of planning and production, the gallery experience was recreated at 44 sites around central London. Exact reproductions of Old Masters were framed and hung on walls for 12 weeks, in locations chosen to complement or contrast with each painting. Just like the real gallery, an information plaque was placed next to each image. Inspiring commentary by gallery experts was accessible by phone or podcast. A website supported the campaign with themed tours (the lovers’ tour, the heavy hitters tour), maps, audio commentary and photosharing. The Grand Tour is now visiting other cities.


Nominert i Art Direction: Handcuffs The objective was to announce, primarily to the trade, that Prison Break is now exclusive to Sky One.
